Mediapart publishes new antisemitic screenshots attributed to Jordan Bardella

French investigative outlet Mediapart has published new material in the antisemitic messages case involving National Rally leader Jordan Bardella. The screenshots, from Facebook Messenger conversations dated 2013-2014, were authenticated via data extraction supplied by Meta and certified by a court bailiff.

Mediapart co-founder Edwy Plenel explained that the investigation spanned several months, including dozens of written conversations and interviews with 18 people. The exchanges were passed to Mediapart by two separate sources from Bardella’s entourage, who are entirely unlinked.

Bardella has denied authoring the messages since the affair began and filed a defamation complaint against Mediapart after its initial investigation. He rejected the accusations on X, calling them “crude fakes” and claiming an operation to destabilise his presidential campaign. Several senior RN figures support him, while reactions beyond the far right are more critical. President Emmanuel Macron called the situation “extremely serious and unacceptable” and urged the RN to clarify.
